No hat / No play school policy - Term 4

☀️ No Hat, No Play - Reminder

From today, our “No Hat, No Play” policy is back in place.
All students are required to wear a school hat when outside during breaks and outdoor activities.
Students without a hat will need to stay in the shaded area.

Please make sure your child’s hat is clearly named and kept at school each day.

If you need to purchase a new hat, they’re available from PSW:

2025 Art Show - Creative Ties reminder

As part of this year’s Art Show, don’t forget our special Creative Ties section - a chance for students and families to showcase artworks made outside of school.

Whether it’s painting, drawing, photography, pottery, woodworking, or any other creative project, we’d love to celebrate it!

There’s no judging and no pressure - just a celebration of the creativity that lives in and beyond our classrooms.

Please have all artwork in by this Friday, 10th October.

We can’t wait to see what our talented community has been creating at our Art Show next Monday, 13th October, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

All things sport next week

We hope you’ve all had a fabulous break and we look forward to welcoming your families back on Monday! Here’s a quick update on all things sport for next week:

  • PE lessons will be on Monday and Tuesday, along with athletics tryouts. Please ensure your child wears their sports uniform on both days.

  • If your child’s class sport falls on a different day, their class teacher will reach out with instructions.

  • Running Club will be held by Sue Pattinson on Tuesday, 7th October, 8:15 start

  • The annual athletics carnival is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, 20th November, 9:00-11:00 ish, pending confirmation from the council. We’ll update the parent calendar once confirmed.

In summary: please have children in sports uniform on Monday and Tuesday, and watch for messages if class sport falls on another day. Don’t forget Running Club on Tuesday, and keep an eye on the parent calendar for the confirmed date of our annual athletics carnival, currenlty scheduled for Thursday, 20th November!

And please remember - in Term 4, children MUST wear their hats outside!

Regards,

The staff at St Catherine's
