Wellbeing News
This year Harmony Week will be celebrated throughout Australia between the 18th & 24th March. Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. As a school we will celebrate Harmony day on Thursday 21st March. On this day classes will complete activities to celebrate the many cultures at our school.
The theme for Harmony week is “Everyone Belongs”. This year we would like to invite families to complete a family project for Harmony day. This project will be included in your child’s / children’s homework for the week of the 11th March. Each family will be provided with a
numbered jigsaw piece outline. We would love families to include their family name, the word hello in their language, a flag or images to represent their families ancestry.
We would like the pieces returned to school by the 18th March so we can put the puzzle together ready for Harmony day. We are looking forward to celebrating the diversity of our St Catherine’s community.

School Choir is Back
The school choir has started again and is open to year 2- 6 students. We are meeting on a Tuesday for the first 15-20 minutes at recess. The students have been singing beautifully together in the sessions we have had so far. We are currently learning “Try Everything” by Shakira and “Better When I’m Dancing” by Meghan Trainor.
