Lynda's News
Thank you
Thank you to the many parents and family members who stayed for our school assembly on Monday. Our year 5 students led the school in a reverent ANZAC Day prayer service, remembering all who served and died for our country.

Kinder Visits
Last week Carmel, myself and year 5 students Lily, Isla and Cooper visited our friends at Bruthen St Kinder. Our students were fantastic ambassadors of our school, interacting with the kinder children. They helped the students complete puzzles, build with lego, painting and make a button bracelet. We will be visiting the Kinder again next week.

Term 2 Curriculum Term Outlines
This week teachers will email parents term 2 curriculum term outlines. This document supports parents with understanding what their child will be learning throughout the term. Please contact your child’s teacher for any further information
School Advisory Council
At our term 1 School Advisory Council meeting we discussed reviewing our homework policy and procedures. We are aware that there are a range of opinions on this topic, so this term we will be seeking input from parents via a homework survey. Please look out for this survey which will be sent via Operoo.
Year 5-6 Camp
Our year 5-6 students and 5 staff members (Lynda O;Donnell, Jaimee Hall, Megan Moore, Sue Pattinson and Kath Barca) will be off to camp on Monday 20 May to Wednesday 22 May. Camp is truly a wonderful experience for students as they participate in team and personal challenges, explore a bush setting and enjoy time with peers. A significant amount of time goes into planning such an excursion and I wish to thank the staff members attending for the planning and for giving up their time to attend.
Mrs Carmel Donlon will be Delegated Authority during my time on camp.
School Uniform
Teachers have spoken to a number of students regarding the wearing of jewellery, particularly earrings and appropriate shoes. Dangly earrings and bracelets are not to be worn to school. Sport shoes are only to be worn on sport days. Please check your child’s term 2 curriculum term outline for when the sport days are for your child’s class.
With the weather hot one day and cold the next, students may wear either Summer or Winter uniform items until the end of April. While hats are not compulsory during term 2 and 3, teachers encourage students to wear a hat if the weather is sunny.
