National Sorry Day - Sunday, 26th May
National Sorry Day, officially the National Day of Healing, is an event held annually in Australia on 26 May commemorating the Stolen Generations. It is part of the ongoing efforts towards reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
We will acknowledge this important day as part of our Monday morning gathering on Monday, 27th May. Families are welcome to join us (Asphalt Area after walking club and National Anthem).
Reflection
We pray for your strength and grace to forgive, accept and love one another as you love, forgive and accept us. Give us the courage to acknowledge the realities of our history so that we may build a better future for our nation. Teach us to respect all cultures. Teach us to care for our land and waters.
Confirmation - Year 6 Students
Holy Spirit, you are the giver of many gifts which God wants to give me personally.
Open my heart and my mind as I prepare for Confirmation.
Help me to know that you are confirming all the goodness that I am, and all the goodness that I will become.
Increase my desire to know and follow Jesus as his disciple with a grateful and courageous heart.
Amen
