Craft Power Incursion Foundation, Year 1 & 2
As a part of our Science unit on forces the F-2 students participated in a fantastic incursion presented by Craft Power. We have been learning about the forces of push and pull and on the day we all made a wooden car with a pull gear to make it move. The students were very excited to hammer away and create their cars. The pliers came in very handy to straighten and pull out the bent nails. They also traced around stencils to make road signs.
The Foundation students enthusiastically painted their cars & signs last week and the year 1 & 2 students will be painting their cars and signs this week. We had a quick session to trial our cars and are looking forward this week to racing them in the hall.
A huge thank you to Hannah, Kirsty, Denise and Angelina for their support on the day.
