Golden Chook Award

Last week we attended the second part of the Kingston Council Big Green Schools Conference. We met up with 9 other schools and each presented their ideas for ways to make their school a greener place. We learnt a lot about how other schools looked after their rubbish collection and the Nude Food ideas for lunchboxes.

We created a slideshow about the vegetable garden and described how we have begun planting seeds and preparing the beds. We explained our goals and challenges of how we are going to maintain the garden going forward. Unfortunately we didn’t win the ‘Golden Chook Award’ this time round but we are very proud of ourselves as we did our best.
