Welcome to another exciting year at St. Catherine's! The Parents and Friends Committee are excited to be back and look forward to planning another year of fundraising and event planning for the school community!
New Members
The P&F are seeking new volunteers and would love to welcome some new members this year. We have meetings twice a term on a Tuesday night where we work on fundraising goals for the year in collaboration with the school administration team. Meetings will be held on Tuesdays at 7:30 (dates to be advised) in the P&F room which is located right next to our beautiful new mural! Please come along if you'd like to get involved, all parents and carers are welcome - it's a terrific way to help St. Catherine's thrive and meet our terrific community of parents.
Welcome Picnic
St Catherine's Welcome Picnic is being held this Friday evening, February 7th from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on the school oval! Come along and get to know the school community and catch up with friends - BYO dinner, snacks and picnic rug. The P&F will have drinks and ice creams for sale as well - cash and card accepted. Please note this is an alcohol free event.
School Mural
You've no doubt seen our incredible new mural in the school playground! This has been the P&F's labour of love for the past two years as we've fundraised for it through a variety of events. Thanks to the school community's generosity and several key local businesses, we were able to finally bring the students' vision to life with vibrant colour, motifs and imagery that they associate with St. Catherine's and Moorabbin as a whole. Talented artist Kyle Brightside spent a week in January at the school planning and implementing this stunning piece of art and we're beyond thrilled it was ready to welcome everyone back to school last week. A huge thanks to Suzanne Currie for her dedication in liaising with Kyle and the creative team of Candice Peart and Jo Szczepanska who worked with the students in 2024 to help them articulate the themes and colours that best reflect their experience as St. Catherine's students, and the school administration team to ensure everything ran smoothly - the P&F are incredibly grateful for her efforts.
