RUNNING CLUB 2025.
I will be starting a Running Club for children commencing on Thursday 20th February, weather permitting at 8.15 am. Children will warm up with stretching exercises and then they will be running laps.
Running Club will focus on students improving their physical wellbeing through weekly sessions that will improve their physical fitness and develop positive and sustainable habits around fitness and exercise.
Members of the running club will receive points for their House colour which will go towards extra activities at the end of the term.
Each student will be given a booklet where they will be able to record their progress.
This is not compulsory but an opt in event. An Operoo will be sent requiring permission for your child/children to participate.

HOLT EVENTS
St Catherine's is part of the Holt District Sporting Association where we compete against 8 other schools in our district. These are extra curricular activities.
Sports covered are swimming, soccer, cross country, interschool sport (AFL and netball) basketball and athletics.
Some areas are limited to Year 5 and 6 students but other sports include
9 - 13 year olds. Children will be able to try out for these events, however sadly not all children can be selected.

Holt Swimming Sports
At the end of 2024, a swimming notice was given out to interested children.
Children must be timed over 50 metres by an adult in their preferred stroke/s and this needs to be returned by Friday 7th February. Children must be competent swimmers of racing ability. Team selection will be made from these times. This event is for 9 - 13 yr olds.
As we will be a small squad, I will be requiring parents to organise transportation to and from the pool with their child/children. If this is a problem please contact me to arrange alternative transportation.
