Foundation JH

The Foundation students learned a lot about conserving water during the performance by SA water:
Patrick - I thought it was really funny! The actors were loud. I liked when I got sprayed. It was funny.
Raymond - The actors had good costumes and they were very silly. I learnt that we should fill up our drink bottles at home.

1/2HB Water Incursion Reflection

SavingWater.JPGFour ways we can save water at home are:

  • Bring your water bottle to school to fill up your water bottle.
  • Take a 4 minute shower only.
  • Turn off the tap when you're brushing your teeth.
  • Get an adult to fix leaking taps.

The funniest part was when/I liked…

  • The water villain kept on wasting the water!
  • James Blonde kept trying to catch the water villain.
  • It was funny when the water villain sprayed water on us!

Some things I learnt:

  • There is only 1% of fresh water.
  • The rest is made up of salt water. We can’t drink salt water.

water.jpgOur Grade 3/4 students had a fantastic time watching our theatre performance about water preservation. With plenty of laughs and a comical performance, they learned important ways to save water, like turning off taps, taking shorter showers, and using water wisely.

The fun-filled show kept everyone entertained while reinforcing the importance of conserving this precious resource.

5/6

On Friday 7th February, the senior students were fortunate to participate in an incursion from ‘Our Water, Our Future’. It was a vibrant and inclusive performance
which highlighted the importance of saving water, especially as it is a precious resource that is limited and depleting.

Here’s what the 5/6 students had to say about this experience:

  • Lily : It was a unique experience because we learned a lot about water.
  • Haley : I learned about the percentage of water left in the world.
  • Leona : It was an Interactive experience.
  • Medina : I learned that the Murray River was the 2nd biggest source of water in South Australia.
  • Georgia : It was hilarious because they dressed up wearing silly outfits.
  • Vanessa : I liked it because it had great audience participation and challenges.
  • Duke : I learned about Aquifers. They are underground little water tunnels.
  • Emma : I enjoyed it because the people presenting made it interesting.
  • Isla : I learned that we are running out of water because people are wasting it.
  • Abbey : It was an exciting incursion because the actors made it fun and they included lots of facts about water.
  • Cooper : I learned that if it is a purple pipe then the water on the inside is not safe to drink.
