National Simultaneous Storytime
NSS is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association.
Every year a picture book that is written and illustrated by an Australian author and is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, preschool, child care centres and other places around the country.
On Wednesday 21 May at 12:00 pm St Catherine’s Primary School participated in this wonderful event.
This year’s book was The Truck Cat, written by Deborah Frankel.
This was a fun event for our children and it aims to promote the value of reading and literacy.

Scholastic Book Fair
Thank you to our wonderful school community for coming and Looking, Reading, Seeing and Purchasing of books at our recent Book Fair.
It was wonderful to see so many happy, smiling faces looking and reading the great selection of books.
Our fantastic Year 6 Leaders need to be congratulated for the amazing way they conducted themselves throughout the fair.
They all contributed to such an amazing event!
We can’t wait to share our new books with you .
