Beachside Athletics Carnival
Congratulations to our 10 children for making it to Beachside Athletics Carnival.
Our 11 Girls Relay came 4th ( Emilia, Jess, Bianca, and Holly ) and Emilia came second in the 11 Girls 100m Sprint, with a PB 14.25 sec and 2nd in High Jump. A brilliant achievement. She has now qualified for Regionals in October.
Our other competitors performed well but as we know competition is extremely tough at this level.
A huge thank you to all parents for transporting the children to this event and organising them on the day. I very much appreciate this.
Patto / Kostee Cup
Sadly Interschool Sport has finished for Term 3 and the Cup has gone to St Agnes for a second year in a row. Congratulations to them. We fought the good fight but were unable to pin them back after an early lead.
The player of the series went to Daniel Argiropoulos for his determination, sportsmanship and his magnificent footwork, which was constantly on display.
Liam Carapeto scored the goal of the series, scoring a goal from the corner. It was poetry in motion.
Match results were amazing this week with St Catherine's winning all matches.
Better late than never, did we have fun all Season?, yes we did. Then it was absolutely worth it, win or lose.
Bulla Hooptime 2019
On Thursday 12th September all 5/6 children competed in the Hooptime Competition at MSAC, Albert Park. It was a fantastic day and made all the better by having Mindy, Ailish and Laura Smeaton with us, who helped coach on the day. We took an AllStars Boys, 3 Futures and 1 Rookies team. Along the way we had some wins, some losses and some draws. Thank you to Mrs Renehan, Mrs Barca, Mrs Chiodo and Mrs Bruenjes for assisting me on the day.
St Catherine's Annual Footy Day
The children were pumped when they arrived at St Catherine's dressed in their favourite footy team's colours. Children participated in many footy activities, displaying their skills, while making lots of noise cheering and having fun.
The winning team was Team 5 Carlton, followed by Team 2 West Coast and Team Team 7 St Kilda. All children in those teams will have extra Sport time with me.
The Longest Kick went to Oscar Bowen and Albie Hupfeld who will aso score some extra time.
