FJH - 100 Days of School
Last week, our fantastic, fabulous Foundation students celebrated 100 Days at School! They are officially 100 Days Brighter! It was an exciting and bright celebration filled with lots of smiles, excitement, colour and laughter.
They started the day with a parade to show off their cool, colourful outfits and then presented a special assembly to the school. For the first time, they spoke on the microphone and they did a wonderful job! The students led the school community in a special ‘Counting to 100’ Aerobics and the smiles were truly contagious.
After the exciting assembly, the students led their families inside for our learning assembly. The students shared a video and all of the work they have been working hard to create. Their families were very proud. The students were excited to spend the morning making special 100 Day Crowns and building the tallest 100 cup tower with their families. It was lots of fun.
After a short break, the kids came back inside and showed off their fabulous counting skills to create 100 Fruit Loop necklaces in the Learning Hub. Upon returning to the classroom, cheeky Milo Monkey had locked the door! The students were challenged to use the special clues to help them to find 100 coins hidden around the school to re-enter the classroom. The Foundation students are fabulous detectives and very quickly found all 100 coins!
They walked back to the classroom and were surprised with a big party with lots of balloons, food, music and party bags! Our fantastic families were so generous to bring in a shared party lunch and it was so yummy!
In the afternoon, the students were given their very own lunch box to design, before the disco started! Our students had such a wonderful day and left with smiles on their faces.
Congratulations to our Foundation students on 100 Days of school! We are exceptionally proud of all of you - well done!
