Big Green Schools Conference
Last week we visited Carrum Primary School and spent the day with 14 other schools from within the Kingston area at the Big Green Schools Conference. It was a fantastic opportunity to see what other schools are doing to build awareness and support of sustainable practices in their school and local community.
Firstly we were inspired by a presentation from Kirsty Costa, Learning Innovation Leader with Zoos Victoria and Victorian Environmental Educator of the Year who introduced us to ways to promote connection, understanding and proactive intiatives to help drive environmental awareness.
Afterwards we had a great time touring the school and visited the goats, wetlands, aviary, chicken coops and vegetable garden. Check out our photos!
