RECONCILIATION REFLECTION DAY-
‘A Change of Heart”
Wednesday 3rd March
St Catherine’s School & Church
On Wednesday 3rd MARCH ALL of the Year 3 & 4 students were involved in the Reconciliation Reflection Day at St. Catherine’s. This day was led by Megan Moore and myself (Religious Education Leader). We were amazed at the level of engagement by the students. They responded to the activities with honesty and wonderment. The students had opportunities to pray, reflect, study Gospel stories relating to healing and forgiveness. The students also had the opportunity to make a ’Healing Heart’ canvas which will be displayed when they make their Reconciliation during Terms 2 and 3. The students also wrote their own ‘Prayers of Sorrow’. After a very busy morning the students enjoyed a shared lunch in the school vegie garden.

PRESENTATION OF CANDIDATES AT PARISH MASS
YEAR 3 & 4 RECONCILIATION CANDIDATES
10.30am Sunday 18th April
St Catherine’s Church
The students and their families are invited to attend Parish Mass on Sunday, 18th April. The students will be introduced to the Parish Community and receive a candle from the Parish to use during their Reconciliation during Term 2 or 3.
2021 Caritas Project Compassion
Each family has received a Project Compassion box for donations or you can donate online via the Caritas Australia website at: lent.caritas.org.au. Spare collection boxes can be obtained from the office.
If you choose to collect during Lent, please return the boxes to school. Saint Oscar Romero is our inspiration for Project Compassion 2021, so in his words let’s “Aspire not to have more, but to be more.”
Please return donations to the school office by Thursday, 1st April so we can add the school donations to St Catherine's Parish Donations. Boxes can also be returned directly to St Catherine’s Church during weekend masses.
The Learning and Faith School Leaders will organise a focus to remind students to return the collection boxes to school on Thursday, 1st April. More information to follow next week.
Week 3 Lenten Prayer
Loving God, You are always with us, guiding us and loving us.
We know you hear us when we pray, and you listen to us whenever we talk to you.
Thank you. Help us remember to take time every day to talk to you.
We know that getting ready for the mystery of Easter is big work.
During this season, help us learn how to trust you, love you, and share your love with others!
Thank you for being with our family as we travel together, preparing our hearts and minds to enter into the mystery of Easter.
Bless us in our work. It’s in your holy name, we pray,
Amen.
