Reconciliation Reflection
Reconciliation Reflection Day
By Veronika and Daania
Everyone was buzzing with excitement because it was a free dress day! We had come to school to learn about our reconciliation. Mrs Donlon and Mrs Moore - our expert teachers :) - taught us all about the 7 Sacraments but mainly about how reconciliation was about forgiveness and healing. The parable of the Prodigal Son was a good example because it showed the 4 stages of reconciliation - admitting you were wrong, saying sorry, being forgiven and being reconciled.
We made beautiful ‘change of heart’ art. Change of heart means saying sorry and asking for forgiveness. We liked making the hearts the most. It was interesting to watch Mrs O’Donnell help to sew them up.
The sausage sizzle was of course the ‘hubba bubba’ moment. They were delicious - especially because they were cooked with love by our school staff. And as for the icypoles…
All in all, the day was brilliant and awesome because we learnt about reconciliation with our friends.
