Wellbeing News
As we head towards a well-earned school holiday break, I have included a document from the education.vic.gov.au website for you to have a read through. Next term many of the students’ Social and Emotional Learning lessons (SEL) will have a focus on these six key wellbeing elements and skills; problem solving, stress management, help seeking, emotional literacy and personal strength. There are also activities included that focus on positive thinking and gratitude as well as breathing exercises that promote calm. You may find after reading the document, that there is an area you feel your child / children may benefit from further, to develop skills to assist with their wellbeing.
The document has been broken in to four levels to ensure the activities are suitable for your child / children at their point of learning. The activities do not need many materials. Several of the activities would be suitable for the family to complete together.
Keep safe and take care,
Maree
