COVID Restrictions
Our school is currently following MACS Operational Guidelines for schools which affects a number of events, programs and general operations of school activities. I thank parents, students and families for their understanding in regards to events being cancelled, rescheduled or modified. We are all becoming very resilient and adaptable to an environment of constant disruption.
Parents are encouraged to drop off and pick up their children on the asphalt and only enter school buildings if necessary. Adults are asked to leave school premises promptly and not to congregate near entry and exit points.
Parent/Teacher/Student Meetings
These meetings will take place online on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 August. Teachers will email parents a google meet link for their meeting. If you have not made a meeting time please contact your child’s teacher to organise. Students are required to attend these meetings.
Learning
Learning back onsite at school has been positive, with students engaging in lots of hands-on activities with their peers. Many classes are delving into their inquiry and science concepts- Cause and Effect. Classes are exploring math measurement concepts linking this to the Olympics.
All classes have connected back into structured Literacy and Numeracy learning, with teachers focussing on explicit teaching of skills in these areas.

Remote Learning Survey
I encourage one parent from each family to complete the Remote Learning Survey. ( see link below) It is important to us that we gather and collate data from our parents, to ensure we can continue to deliver future remote learning in a format that supports students and families.
