National Simultaneous Storytime 2019
On Wednesday the 22nd of May, St Catherine’s Junior School participated with many other children all around Australia at the same time, on the same day, reading the same book.
This event endorse and promotes the value of reading and literacy. This year Alpacas with Maracas by Matt Crosgrove was read simultaneously in libraries, schools, preschools, child care centres, bookshops and other places all around Australia.
Scholastic Book Fair
Hoping all families can catch the reading wave and visit our Book Fair . The Fair will be located in the Learning Hub from Monday the 27th of May till Thursday the 30th of May.
Please come and visit from 8:30-9:00 am ONLY.
Every purchase you make, earns Learning and Literacy Resources for our school.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the fair.
Learning Hub Recess and Lunchtime Activities.
The Learning Hub is open again and back by popular demand for activities on a Wednesday recess and Thursday lunchtime .
All children are invited to join us in many activities, including LEGO, Chess Games, drawing and reading.
On Thursday the 30th of May, we will be introducing finger knitting. Many thanks to Karen Glancy (Lily's mum, FDW) for offering her assistance.
