Even though the Foundation students have only been at school for 12 days they have already achieved so much. They have been sharing lots of things about ourselves so we can get to know each other. The students have talked about our families and pets noticing similarities and differences in the makeup of their families. They have met their year 5 & 6 buddies and completed a scavenger hunt together around the school while getting to know each other.

We have discussed the importance of drinking lots of water and eating our fruit, snacks and lunches to give us energy for the day. They have been to the garden to pick and take home a fresh cucumber. We have exercised daily to music or using the equipment in the adjoining room. The students have enjoyed doing team work activities in all areas of the curriculum. Their favourite stories so far have been about Pete the Cat and David goes to School. They have followed instructions and practised using our fine motor skills to create each character.
