On Friday 29th May, St Catherine’s competed in the Holt Soccer Lightning Premiership. 

Our team consisted of the following players;

Alexander Arnaoutis - Captain

Nathan Anesidis - Captain

Alexander D’Silva, Alexandra Danaher, Jackson Sloan, Lex Lovegrove, Eva Slupecki, 

Sabine Willmot, Miki Nowak, Zara Thompson, Elise Stamatakos, Albie Hupfeld, Xavier Knowles, Cristina Chiodo and Rebecca Castrillon. 

We played 4 matches and thanks to the great team effort by all and goals scored by Alexander Arnaoutis, we won 3 out of 4 matches. The only game we lost, was against St James, Brighton and thanks to the brilliant effort from our goalie Nathan, the score was  3 - 1. St James went on to win the Grand Final and we came 3rd overall. 

Thank you to Toby Sloan for coaching on the day and to the parents, Kristina, Toby, Tony and Michael for assisting with transportation and supporting us. It is very much appreciated.

Children have been training for this event since Term 1, but it has come to my attention that they may not have done as much as they should have. 

An Operoo will be sent out for your permission. If you feel your child is not as prepared as they should be and would rather not have them compete, please do not give permission. 

If your child is turning 8, 9 or 10 in 2022 they will be running 2 kilometres. 

If your child is turning 11, 12 and 13 year olds they will be running 3 kilometres.
