Foundation Family Faith Night

The Foundation students were very excited on the 18th May to come back to school at night in their pyjamas. The focus for the night was about prayer. We started the evening with meditation and prayer followed by the families listening to a scripture story being told through Godly play. It was wonderful watching the students sharing their special mementos with their friends. 

We listened to a lovely story called “How Big is God?” In the story the little boy and his mum talk about all the places we can find God. He decides the best place he finds God is in his heart. 'How Big is God?'  

The students worked with their parents to make some items to create a special prayer place at home. They decorated a candle with stickers and colourful tape. Using beautiful stones they created their own crucifix and designed and made their own prayer cloth.  

The evening concluded with the students singing for their parents “God Loves Me” by John Burland. Thank you to the families for their participation on the evening. It was lovely to meet face to face and celebrate the students' learning.
