St Catherines hasn't had a Book Week in 2 years!

We started Book Week with a parade, students had to dress up as their favourite book character. The whole school went to the hall and each class went one by one from Foundation to Year 6, We also had visitors from the Guardian Childcare Centre as they dressed up to. Everybody's costumes looked spectacular. We can't believe how much work went into them!!

We had Book Week rotations featuring these books, The Boy who Tried to Shrink his Name, Stellarphant and Iceberg. We had different activities related to the different books. For example; 'The Boy who Tried to Shrink his Name' We wrote our names and then decorated them with things that represent us and our hobbies.

On Friday the year 5/6 and Mrs. Donlon hosted a Book Week Assembly where we announced the winners of each book category and the shortlisted books.

We also judged the colouring competition. We picked 2 Students from each grade. There were some really Exciting prizes. The prizes include books, the Harry Potter Coles Collection and Gem Arts made by Mrs Donlon.

We hope everybody enjoyed Book Week 2022 as much as we did!
