Our Socktober Kickoff was a wonderful experience for all. The students showed great resilience, collaboration and teamwork making the sock balls and as a team kicking their goals. As a school the students kicked 1402 goals. 

Each class made their sockballs from recycled materials ready for the kickoff. Some sockballs lasted the distance, others were not so lucky. The students continued to mend the broken sock balls so they could keep kicking goals. Walking in the shoes of others such as the students of Ethiopia playing with their sock balls each day enables our students to appreciate what they have around them. The winner of the kick off was 3/4MR who will receive some extra play next week as their prize.

Our Year 6 Sustainability and Faith Leaders did a wonderful job advertising and setting up the event on the day. Our Mission week celebrations concluded on Thursday with our prayer liturgy led by our Year 6 leaders. The choir did a fantastic job singing “Just a Little bit” the 2022 Mission week song. 

A huge thank you to everyone for your continued support, we raised $152 for the Australian Catholic Missions.
