2023 School Fees

Information regarding 2023 school fees will be sent home to families early in December. Families are asked to complete and return their preferred payment option before the end of the 2022 school year. If families believe they are eligible for concessional school fees for 2023, please contact Laura in the school office office@scmoorabin.catholic.edu.au or 9555 7200

Athletics Day- Friday 25 November

Families are invited to  our school Athletics Day on Friday 25 November from 9:00-11:00 a.m at Moorabbin Athletics Track, Bricker Reserve, Rowans Rd. There will be a coffee van at the track for adults to purchase coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Families are reminded to not come onto the track and to remain behind the fence area.

Our parents and friend have organised a sausage sizzle lunch for students on this day, back at school.

Many thanks to Angelina, Carlo, Peter and Sanya for volunteering  to cook and serve sausages and icypoles.

Book Fair/Art Display

Parents and families are welcome to pop into the book fair in our learning hub/library this week. You may like to take a few moments to look around the learning hub/library at some of the art work students have been working on this term.

Instrumental Music Performance

On Monday and Wednesday our instrumental music students will perform for families and friends in our school hall. Families have been notified of when their child’s performance will take place.

We thank Srebrenka, Rachel, Debbie and Monica our instrumental music teachers who have worked throughout the year with students.

Church Roof Repairs

The church will not be available from 28 November to 17 December, due to roof repairs. A number of car parks in the church car park will also not be available. See image below

Thank You

Thank you to our P & F who organised for Wilson Outlet to donate some basketballs to our school. The students were very excited to receive some extra sporting equipment for their class to use at recess and lunchtime.

Year 6 Graduation Celebrations

In the next few weeks we have a number of special graduation events planned for our year 6 students.

It has long been a St Catherine’s tradition for the whole school to wish our year 6 students farewell with a guard of honour. The guard of honour will take place on Thursday 15 December at the end of the school day on the asphalt. Families are welcome to join us for this event.

Other events that will take place for the year 6 students are Big Day Out at Luna Park on Friday 9 December, Big Day In, where students have special activities and a lunch at school and Graduation Liturgy and year 6 Family Picnic  all on Thursday 15 December.

Thanks to P & F for supporting the year 6 students by providing and serving dinner for year 6 students after the graduation liturgy.
