In Year 1 and 2 we have been learning about long and short vowel sounds. We have been doing 'Sound and Write' activities as well as word sorts. We have been intentionally incorporating these words in our writing. 

We have also been learning about parts of speech and are able to identify nouns, verbs and adjectives in stories we are reading and in our own writing.
