School garden:

Our enthusiastic student voice representatives have been busy problem solving ways we can all look after our school grounds to protect & provide the best start to our recently planted courtyard garden bed (thank you P&F) and after noticing some damage to established plants. Their solution came in the way of signage… with the support of the Arts Leaders they set to work making eye-catching posters which have been duplicated, laminated and strategically placed around the school grounds. We discussed the importance of ‘leading by example’ and ways they can be proactive with supporting students who may not be making the best choices with where they play and how they play.

Oval corner:

We are also in the middle of finalising ways to beautify the corner area of the oval after the old mosaics have been removed and the ground has been compacted. It is now open and safe to play in once again. Ideas for the mural which is to be painted when the weather is more predictable in Term 4 is well underway including painting of the bench seats & native plants for the garden beds which surround the space. We cannot wait to get started!
