POM POM POPPER

Last week's STEM activity challenged students to create a simple launcher toy to propel a pom pom. Using only a plastic cup, a balloon and a pom pom, students engineered a launcher that was graded on the distance it flew. For some year levels, accuracy was also measured as a target was involved. There was much discussion about push and pull, projectile motion, potential and kinetic energy. 

Alas, there can only be a handful of winners and this week they are (drum roll please…)
