Year 5-6 Camp
What a wonderful experience it was spending time with our year 5-6 students on camp. The students showed enthusiasm, a willingness to try new things and great teamwork. They were courteous to each other and camp staff, thanking staff for meals and activities. They participated in bike riding, hut building, possum glider, rescuing GI Jane, canoeing, the maze, campfire and making s’mores and lots more. Thanks to Alana Tavcar for organising and leading the camp experience for year 5-6 students. Thanks also to Paula Hamilton and Sue Pattinson for supporting and of course the camp Weekaway staff, who looked after us so well.
P & F Working Bee
A huge thank you to Carlo Piccolo for organising the family working bee and to all the families that attended and helped out on the weekend. The courtyard garden looks amazing, with so many beautiful native plants. This area looks so inviting and many students love to spend time in the courtyard. Special thanks to Troy Walters for his handy work in lifting up the old broken mosaic tiles in the oval corner garden. Our student voice group is working with Mrs Renehan on ideas for improving this garden area. Our school is so appreciative of the support from families.

Whole School Mass- Beginning of Term 3
10am Wednesday, 19th July
All families are welcome to attend
Camp Weekaway had an unexpected arrival but the activities like the Maze, Canoeing, and Hut Building were so much fun. But nothing came close to how fun it was to try the Possum Glider. It was quite hard because you had to pull all the other people up with the rope, sliding against your hand.
Something I did really enjoy was the nighttime activities like the campfire and movie night. The food at camp was quite different to what you would get at home. It was all home made and really nice.
Overall, I feel like camp weekaway was a good experience with lots of challenges throughout the way. So, this camp in my opinion would be a solid 4/5 stars.

Top Four Favourite Activities

Experience
I loved Camp Weekaway, when we arrived we went straight to lunch, then went over the safety rules and were introduced to our instructors.
In the cabins there were two bunk beds against the two walls. At the end in the middle of the walls was a window so we could see outside.
During the day we would wake up around ten to seven to head over to breakfast at seven thirty. After that we would do an activity, have morning tea, then a activity, lunch, activity, afternoon tea, activity, dinner, activity, supper. So as you can see our days were jam packed with activities. Some days we would get some cabin time which was normally around thirty to fifteen minutes.
Favourite Activity
My favorite activity was definitely the Possum Glider because it felt like you were flying. It was amazing and it was so high up in the sky.
