Students first day of school

Staff are looking forward to seeing students and families back at school on Thursday 28 January. Classrooms will be opened at the normal time of 8:45am. 

Parents are more than welcome to come into our school grounds and say goodbye to their child on the asphalt area. Myself and Education Support Staff will be on duty to greet you and offer any support if needed.

If there is a need for you to accompany your child to their classroom you will need to wear a face mask and be mindful of social distancing and not congregating in hallways or at entry points. 

Parent morning tea

On Thursday 27 January after you have dropped off your child, you are welcome to stay for a chat and cuppa outside on our asphalt area. Thank you to our parents and friends for organising this event. We need to be mindful of COVID safe behaviours by maintaining appropriate social distancing. Outside gatherings are limited to 100 people.

Vandalism

Unfortunately during the school holidays, some people felt the need to damage our goal posts and sandpit cover. The school has filed a report with the police and damaged items will be replaced by insurance. It is disappointing to see people disrespecting the property of others. I urge any families who may walk past the school in the evenings or weekends to make a report to the police if you see anything suspicious.

2021 School Fees

Last year in your child’s report we sent home information about 2021 school fees. If you wish to pay in installments you must return the direct debit form by Thursday 28 January.  The form can be emailed to office@scmoorabbin.catholic.edu.au, posted, dropped into the school letterbox or returned in person to the school office. Our office will be open on Wednesday 27 January from 11:00am-4:00pm.

As previously advertised, there is no increase to school fees for next year.

Second Hand Uniform Shop

The second hand uniform shop will be open on Wednesday 27 January from 11:00am- 3:30pm. Please contact Laura Bailey in the office to make a time to visit. Due to COVID safe restrictions we can accommodate one family at a time in the shop.
