Staff Professional Learning- Child Safety and Wellbeing
Staff spent time this week on the school closure day examining the new child safe standards and auditing actions, processes and procedures our school has in place to ensure we are compliant with the new standards. Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic School Policies in the area of child safety have been updated by the school and are now published on our school website, on the parent portal via the left hand side menu of the newsletter and on the school app folder labelled MACS policies. Our school has a number of measures in place to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students.
Staff also explored system frameworks and documentation that supports us to plan for and implement student wellbeing programs. We examined student wellbeing data, collected through Pivot student surveys to pinpoint areas in which to direct our wellbeing teaching and learning programs. Teachers examined feedback from students on their teaching and set personal learning goals to ensure they are proactive in responding to student voice and feedback.
Change to Before and After School Care Provider
I am writing to let you know that OSHClub will be concluding the before and after school care program service that they have been operating at our school. I am currently finalising details with a new provider and will be able to release further details regarding who the new provider will be and when they will start once documentation has been completed.
I wish to thank OSHClub for the service they have provided to our school families. OSHClub has assured me that they will liaise with the new provider to enable a smooth transition for our students and school families. There will be no period where families will not be able to access this service. OSHClub will notify families who use the service of the change.
Canteen
Next term canteen sales will be every Thursday. A very big thank you to our four mums, Angelina, Rhiannon, Nat and Claire who have volunteered to open up our canteen and sell items.
Items for sale in term 3 are bags of popcorn and chips for 50 cents each. Students are reminded to only buy items for themselves to eat and may only purchase no more than two items.
